Photos from the Martin City Lighting Festivities

With Thanksgiving behind us, we thought we would share more photos from Martin City’s Christmas Lighting Ceremony.

Christmas Begins early in Martin City

At 6 pm Thursday, November 19, Santa rang his brass bell. Lights were lit, runners ran, kids lined up and shoppers continued on their “Wine Crawl”. Sometimes people broke out in dance while dj Deondre Ross cranked up the holiday music. After the children had gone home for the night Santa visited the businesses that still had tasty treats. The holiday spirit was strong that night in front of the Bailey Brothers Bank & Loan building (a tribute to the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”). The Martin City Business and Community Association hopes it continues throughout your holiday season.

In exchange for $20, volunteers gave Wine Crawlers a small glass, a bag full of goodies, treats at participating shops, and a punch card. The check in table was in front of Sidelines Florist.
