The Martin Event Space

Formerly a church, the Martin City Event Space now boasts 3,000 sq. feet of unique meeting space. The building has natural wood beams, polished concrete floors, stunning 17-foot vaulted ceilings, custom chandeliers. Visit www.themartineventspace.com.
8th & Main Event Space
724 Main Street, Grandview, MO
Freshly opened, the 8th & Main Event Space has open dates in the former bank building. The event space is broken into three areas: a bank vault where a bar or appetizers can be set up; a reception area for a buffet or dj; and an outdoor courtyard with a fire pit Groups of guests from 130-200 can be accommodated. They have an open catering policy. A state-of-the-art sound system is provide by KC Platinum.

Faulkner’s Ranch has several Holiday Party options in a rustic cabin environment. They have a Country Christmas Party Package (dinner and entertainment), a Traditional Holiday Luncheon, a Casual Cocktail Holiday Mixer (suggested for office staff), and Santa’s Celebration Party Package (which includes a visit from Santa.) St. Catherine of Siena Parish Hall

Offering an affordable option for gatherings, St. Catherine of Siena Parish has two halls. Ruysser Hall has a capacity of 270 people plus 65 more in the annex. The hall has a full kitchen, movable beverage bar, and room for music and dancing. The smaller hall, Coleman Hall, has the same amenities but for 80 to 100 people. Visit saintcatherine.com.
Grandview Elks Lodge
13600 Arrington Road, Grandview, MO
The Grandview Elks Event Space has recently renovated its 4600 square feet of event space. It has a carpeted open floor space and dance floor, which can accommodate close to 300 people, or 250 with a band or DJ. The dance floor has a lighting system and your Bluetooth can be hooked up to the sound system in lieu of a DJ.

The Multi-Purpose Hall has a capacity of 135, with a stage, portable refreshment center and handicap accessibility. The hall is adjacent to their kitchen facility and has easy access to parking. The hall has a neutral décor and is perfect for holding receptions, dinners, parties and meetings. The bar is available through the lodge. Restaurants for Private Parties
Fiorelli’s Jack Stack BBQ

The city’s best barbecue has a private dining facility only a couple of blocks south of the restaurant. Having a similar rustic atmosphere as its original Martin City location, the large space can be divided into two smaller spaces. Food is served buffet style. Audio/video system is available. Jess and Jim’s

Named one of the world’s best steak houses, Jess and Jim’s lends prestige on top of great food to the party. During the holidays, there are three rooms open for private parties; upstairs for larger parties, the red room for medium sized, and the “caboose” near the train tracks for smaller groups (25-30). Maybe it’s the chicken. Maybe it’s the atmosphere. Or maybe it’s the friendly staff. Either way, RC’s is a fun place to be. Anyone familiar with RC’s Back Door on the top floor is familiar with the large area which can accommodate a DJ or band. Some of Margarita’s most popular sauces can be found in grocery stores. But it’s even better served fresh at a holiday fiesta in the restaurant. Margarita’s has room for 60 to 70 people at their indoor patio.
Murray’s Tables + Taps

Jasper’s is one of the few elegant restaurants left in the area. The plush red carpet, red walls and walnut trim make for a upscale experience. Worth mentioning are Dos de Oros, 13029 Holmes Rd., a popular, authentic Mexican restaurant in the area, and Jovito’s Italian Café, 12309 State Line, which bakes their own Italian cookies now available in a gift box in addition to their pasta dishes.
