Darryl Strawberry to share his story

By Brad Lucht

Darryl Strawberry played for the New York Mets in the 1980s as well as the Dodgers and Yankees in the 1990s. In 1983, he received the National League Rookie of the Year award. Over the course of his baseball career, he won 4 World Series Titles and was selected to 8 All-Star Games. His drug addictions caused him to lose his career and his marriage. Seemingly at the bottom of his life, Strawberry’s life was dramatically changed through a relationship with God.

The public is invited to Evangel Church, 1414 E. 103rd St.,  on Sunday, November 26, to hear Strawberry’s encounter with grace and the transformation that took place in his life. Service times are 9 a.m and 10:45 a.m. The cost is free. For more information, call 816-9429-1414 or visit evangel.church/events.
