Center School School District 2018-19
Center School District received a grant awarded by the Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom. The award was based on the number of students that qualify for free or reduced priced meals, average daily participation in the school breakfast program, and district and school-level support. More than 2,700 Center School students will now participate in the free breakfast program. The program is joint initiative of the Food Research & Action Center, National Association of Elementary School Principals Foundation, the School Nutrition Foundation and the NEA Foundation.
An initiative called Center Professional Studies was started last year at the high school to provide real-world experience, and it will continue to expand through collaboration with industry, colleges and technical programs. The initiative includes hands-on activities for students in business practices, engineering, health and science, entrepreneurship, creativity, professionalism and more.
