Spirituality for Mothers of Preschoolers

Sometimes moms of young children just need time alone to reboot. Sometimes it requires refreshing the soul with a Bible study or prayer with other moms.

Three Trails Community, a Christian congregation located at the Martin City Baptist Church, 520 E 132 Terr., is now offering MOPS at Three Trails every second and fourth Wednesday, starting at 5:30 p.m. Free child care and dinner is provided. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.

“A MOPS meeting includes practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations or videos, followed by small group discussion and creative activities,” explains Lacie Glenn, coordinator of the new group.  “Plus there’s usually food! More importantly it is a chance to have honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood.”

Sharing concerns, laughing at stories and perhaps determining the direction of this new group might be what’s needed to remember you are not a mop, but a spiritually beautiful woman. The first meeting is September 12.
