KC Running Company Takes Over into Beadz Galore Building

It’s been four years since Beadz Galore closed its doors at the former Hardee’s drive-thru at 200 E. 135th St., in Martin City. Two owners later, the building has found a new occupant.

KC Running Company, currently located in Martin City at 411 E. 135th St., will soon move its headquarters into the new property.

The move will take place sometime toward the end of year, according to Brad Ziegler, event director for KC Running Company.

When that happens, Martin City Brewing Company will move its headquarters into the former Running Company building which is across the street from brewery.

Already, KC Running Company has moved its trailers and vehicles to the new space allowing Martin City Brewing Company more parking for its customers.

The arrangement is a lease exchange between the two companies. Matt Moore, owner of the brewing company, is also the owner of the former Beadz Galore property.

“It’s really a win/win for both of us,” says Ziegler. “We get additional space and potential retail and Matt gets more parking.”

KC Running Company has two retail stores, one in Leawood and another in Lee’s Summit, which sells running shoes, clothing and supplies as well as race training.
