
McGee selected for high ranking position

State Representative DaRon McGee whose legislative district covers much of south Kansas City was elected Assistant Democratic Floor Leader by his Democratic colleagues in the Missouri House of Representatives Thursday, November 8.
This is the second highest ranking position for Democratic members of the House. McGee was formerly Secretary of the House Democratic Caucus.
McGee also was named that day as Legislator of the Year by the Missouri Community Colleges Association for his advocacy for adequate funding for community colleges.
