Red Bridge Barrio, a casual Mexican eatery that will feature a wide variety of Mexican-inspired dishes as well as handcrafted cocktails and specialty margaritas plans to open in Red Bridge Shopping Center on Tuesday, June 4. To celebrate the grand opening, Red Bridge Barrio is giving free queso for a year to the first 250 guests who dine from June 4-8 (for the first 50 customers each day).
Work is nearing completion on totally remodeling space for the 5,000 square foot restaurant and constructing a 1,500 square foot outside patio at 11118 Holmes Rd. in the northeast corner of the shopping center just south of Crows Coffee.
Chris Ridler, one of the local owners of the restaurant along with Luke Pickett and Raphael Suarez, said it will have inside and outside bars, ten inside and outside big screen televisions and two garage doors between the interior lounge area and outside patio that can be opened when the weather is comfortable.
Ridler said the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and for brunch and dinner Saturday and Sunday. He said hours will be from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Happy hour in the lounge and patio will be from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday.
He said the restaurant’s operation will be modeled on the operation of the popular Brookside Barrio Mexican Kitchen & Bar at 6227 Brookside Plaza that he is also an owner of, but the Red Bridge facility which is almost twice as big will have a greatly expanded menu.
The Brookside facility features appetizers, an array of specialty tacos and Mexican “street” tacos, classic Mexican dishes, seafood, salads and burgers. It also features an extensive tequila list, a variety of specialty margaritas and a wide selection of Mexican and local craft beers in bottles, cans and on tap.
Having grown up just blocks from Red Bridge Shopping Center, Ridler said he’s excited about becoming part of the Red Bridge community again.
“Lane4 Property Group has done a phenomenal job reinvigorating the shopping center and making it a destination place,” Ridler said.
