Help for KCI Workers
Persons interested in working on constructing the new single terminal and associated parking structures at KCI Airport are invited to attend a 6 p.m. meeting Tuesday, September 3, to discuss any needs they have for workforce training, transportation and child care.
The meeting, which will include free light refreshments, will be in the front building of the South Patrol Police Campus, 9701 Marion Park Dr. It will be hosted by the South Kansas City Alliance and conducted by Amazing Traditions on behalf of the team assembled by Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate to construct the terminal project.
Edgemoor has committed to provide Terminal Workforce Enhancement Programs including workforce training, free and subsidized transportation to the KCI jobsite and access to licensed child care with extended hours to remove barriers that could prevent area residents from working on the project over the next several years.
The South Patrol meeting is one of 12 scheduled throughout the metropolitan area to seek public input on exactly what services are needed by persons who would like to work on the huge multiyear project and the level of demand for such services.
Companies and organizations that can provide any of these workforce services also are urged to attend the meeting.
Persons may contact kerri@amazingtraditions.com for more information.
