Red Bridge Greens expands

Construction has resumed at the Villas of Red Bridge Greens, a group of 18 maintenance-provided villas on Red Bridge Road at Charlotte Street, just east of Holmes. The original owner filed for bankruptcy in 2009 during the recession. Lambie Custom Homes Inc. of Overland Park now has acquired the 9-acre property and is in the process of building 32 additional units.
Jim Lambie says the new units will have the same exterior style (conventional stucco with faux stone accents) as the existing structures, but the floor plans will differ slightly. Each will include two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level, with an option to finish the lower level. The units will be built as duplexes attached by garage wall or fourplexes attached by garage and rear wall.
In addition to the new construction, Lambie plans to re-landscape the entryway and do various cleanup and repair projects on the existing homes. The new villas will be ready for residents beginning in early 2020, he says. The units will average 1,400 square feet and will sell for approximately $335,000. For more information, call 913-927-9939.
