Not many people know about Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and that’s a concern, says one local doctor.

The Parkinson’s Foundation will be presenting “Parkinson’s, Sleep and Me” on September 19 at the KU Edwards Campus, 12604 Quivira Rd. in Overland Park, KS.

Nestled in the heart of our city is 27 acres of park land that holds the remains of some of Kansas City’s most important historical figures.

It is called Marlborough Blomes, and soon this sculpture will beautify 81st and Troost, an area once plagued with dilapidated buildings, litter and a lot of crime. Its new home will also have a new amphitheater and extensive playground.

Loud House Farm will be offering a pop up brunch on Sunday, September 15th, at Crane Brewing, 6515 Railroad St, in Raytown. The brunch will be held in the Barrel Room.

The property for Wonderscope at the Red Bridge Shopping Center will have grading, utility relocation and retaining wall work this month.

A Silent Art Auction will be in the lobby of Brookdale Wornall Place, 107th and Wornall Rd., from 4 to 7 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres, drinks and music will be available. The public is invited.

Gilded Lily will be hosting an afternoon tea party inspired by the British period drama on Sunday, September 15, at 3:30 pm

The public is invited to attend the 9/11 ceremony at the First Responder’s Memorial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., starting at 5:30 p.m.
