South KC Chamber of Commerce to host 3rd Annual South KC Block Party

The South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce will host their 3rd Annual South KC Block Party from 10am – 3pm on Saturday, October 5, in the parking lot of the Red Bridge Shopping Center.
The South KC Block Party is an annual event that celebrates and benefits the businesses in South Kansas City. It has become an opportunity for neighbors, patrons, and businesses to come together, make new friends, and have a good time.
This year, the South KC Chamber is excited to announce that they will have their first beer and wine garden. Harry’s Beer and Wine garden is sponsored by Harry’s Liquor, located inside Sun Fresh. Hanover Express, a classic rock and originals band, is set to perform in the garden from 2-5pm.
The event will feature a Best Baby Costume contest, a Kids Fun Zone with free games, face painting, caricature artist, balloon artist, and more. There will also be live entertainment, small business vendors, carnival games, emergency vehicle tours, and food from Blue Moose, Sun Fresh, Zarda BBQ, and other food truck options.
The main stage will include performances from Pulse Performing Arts, Center High School, and others that are to be determined. Vendors will include the Girls Scouts, arts and craft artists, churches and more.
The Chamber is currently accepting entries to the Best Baby Costume contest, and vendor spaces are still available. To sign up or for more information, visit the South KC Chamber of Commerce website at www.southkcchamber.com.
