Halloween Events
Listed below, are some of the major Halloween oriented events scheduled in the Southland:
Evangel Church, 1414 E. 103rd St., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 26, Halloween at Evangel with candy, concessions, games, inflatables, petting zoo, pony rides and prizes;
Alphapointe, 7501 Prospect, 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 26, Trunk or Treat with bounce houses, candy & treats, games and hot dogs, sponsored by Alphapointe, Blue Hills Neighborhood Association, Center of Hope Ministries and Metro Patrol;
Sunday, Oct. 27, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 5901 E. 135th St., Grandview. 4 to 6 pm. Sunday, October 27. Trunk or Treat. Candy, bounce house, games, and hot dogs. Bring socks for the needy.
St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 9420 James A. Reed Rd., 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 27, Trunk or Treat with bounce house, candy, door prizes, hay ride, hot dogs & chips, and mini pumpkin decorating;
Red Bridge Shopping Center, 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, October 31, Trick or Treating with candy, children’s indoor obstacle course and games, as well as activities provided by the Center, Mid-Continent Public Library and Wonderscope Children’s Museum of Kansas City;
Grandview Amphitheater, 13501 Byars Rd., Grandview, 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 31, Harvest Festival for children 1-12 years old with bounce houses, games & prizes, petting zoo, pony rides and trunk or treat, along with costume contests for ages 1-2, 3-5, 6-9 and 10-12, sponsored by the city and its Parks & Recreation Department, Grandview Police & Fire Chaplains Association and International House of Prayer (Admission is one unopened food item per child for the Grandview Assistance Program.);
Ward Parkway Center, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 31, Trick or Treat with candy & treats from participating merchants for children 12 and younger in costume; and
The Annual Red Bridge Churches Trunk or Treat will be held in the parking lot at First Baptist Church located in Kansas City, MO at Red Bridge and Wornall Roads on Halloween Night, Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. This event will include an inflatable slide, and lots of safe treats. Sponsored by St. Peters and All Saints Episcopal Church and First Baptist Church of KCMO.
