KC Kicks Band swings into south KC
Kansas City Jazz Vespers launches its spring vespers with the KC Kicks Band on Sunday evening, March 8 at 6 pm at the historic First Baptist Church of Kansas City, MO, corner of Wornall Road and Red Bridge Road.
KC Kicks is a big band, swinging in the KC tradition since 1987 and features over 20 musicians and vocalists.
Jazz Vespers is free and open to the public. A free-will offering is taken during the interlude between the band’s two acts.
Kansas City Jazz Vespers features 100 minutes of popular, professional jazz in a concert setting. For more information, contact 816/942-1866.
The next KC Vespers group to perform is Cubanisms, one of the city’s hot Latin jazz groups, performing on Sunday, April 19. The Charles Williams triowill conclude the Spring vespers on Sunday, May 17, 6 PM.
