Tourism Development Fund Application deadline extended to Friday, Oct. 30
By Kathy Feist
The application deadline for the city’s Neighborhood Tourism Development Fund (NTDF) has been extended to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, for events between May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022. The deadline had been October 15.
“Due to the pandemic, we chose to extend the deadline to give applicants more time to apply and to extend our reach,” said Rob Loya, NTDF Cultural Partnerships and Grants Manager. He adds that the budget for 2021-22 is smaller than usual because the NTDF is supported by the hotel tax, an industry that has been hit especially hard during the pandemic. “But there are funds and we hope to be a support to the community,” he says.
