South Kansas City Summer Camps
Summer is almost here, and kid boredom is a thing of the past with these South KC summer camps.
Barstow Summer Camp – 11511 State Line Rd. Barstow introduces Outside the Box camps for kids and parents — workouts, rec sports, cooking, even an exclusive college admissions bus tour for students entering grades 9-12. Campfire Heartland Summer Day Camp – Camp Lake of the Woods in Swope Park Campfire is an adventurous camp that allows your child to find their spark, raise their voice, and discover who they are. Activities include learning about nature and animals, zip line, rope swing, archery, crafts, and more. A7- week camp is themed. Cost is $225 per week. Ages 6-15. Grandview Christian School Day Camp – 12340 Grandview Rd. This year’s theme is about all things creepy and crawly as campers learn about insects. Camp includes weekly trips to the library, fun field trips to splash park, zoo, bowling, swimming and picnics in the park. KC Parks Summer Camp – Hillcrest Community Center, 10401 Hillcrest Rd., Your child will stay socially, mentally, and physically active in the 10-week day camp.
