Fourth of July Weekend Events in south KC

This year’s Fourth of July promises to look quite different than 2020 with community and neighborhood holiday festivities back in action. Not all celebrations are back on the books, however. A few of the regular local destinations such as Longview Lake won’t be hosting 2021 festivities, but some cities and parks departments have stepped in to bring their events back to the public.

“We are definitely trying to be cautious of COVID concerns at this time still,” says Leawood Community Events Supervisor Katie Curatola Burruss. “But we are excited to be returning to our annual celebration.”
