Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall Rd., will host its 15th annual Veterans’ Day Appreciation Celebration from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, November 6, starting with a free hot country breakfast at 8 a.m.

Colonel Drew Meyerowich will speak about his experiences in the battle of Mogadishu, a rescue action that inspired the book and movie “Blackhawk Down”.
A Vietnam-era Huey helicopter and other military items and equipment will be on display, and several veterans will display their art work.
Persons who wish to attend the event are asked to RSVP to the church at 816-942-3272 and tell the number in their party so the church can get a count for breakfast.
