I-49 OUTER ROADS CONVERSION PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES
Construction on the $15,000,000 I-49 Outer Roads Conversion Project in Grandview is moving along quickly thanks to the mild winter weather.

As crews work to convert the current one-way outer roads to two-way traffic there will be two important road closures in Grandview beginning March 10:
- The Main Street on ramp to SB I49 will close through July. Crews will be constructing a new on ramp to accommodate future two-way traffic. Drivers will need to continue south along the West Outer Road to 140th Street to get on SB I-49.
- The East Outer Road between 140th Street and White Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Crews will be working in the area between 143rd and 141st Streets. Residents
living in that area will still be able to access the road.
Both closures will be in place for up to 120 days. Detours and signs will be posted.
