Swope Health, the non-profit community health care provider that offers a broad range of health care and behavioral health services to underserved communities throughout the metropolitan area at its clinics and other sites, announced its plans to expand its services in the Hickman Mills area on June 27 at a stakeholder lunch at Smith-Hale Middle School.
Jeron Ravin, Swope Health president and CEO, said the organization is negotiating to purchase a new site on 87th St. between I-435 and Blue Ridge Blvd. that will give it additional space to serve more clients and expand its services to include dental care and child therapy.
The organization plans to renovate existing retail space for its new clinic, he said, which he hopes can be open by the spring of 2023.
On July 7th, Swope Health announced its acquisition of Tenney Pediatrics & Adolescents, located at 6501 E. 87th St., Kansas City. A July 22 open house is planned.
The Swope Health KidsCARE – Tenney Pediatrics clinic will soon offer new services to patients: which will provide seamless access to the full suite of services and programs Swope Health is known to provide. Families in South Kansas City will now have easier access to adult primary care, women’s healthcare, mental healthcare and a wide range of support programs, including telehealth, Medicaid enrollment, WIC, nutrition services and transportation.
Swope has been at its present site at 8800 Blue Ridge Blvd. by the Loma Vista Shopping Center since 2016.
