Last month’s 6th Council District annual fall clean up with drop-off sites at Ruskin High School and South-Broadland Presbyterian Church took in approximately 36 tons of trash & bulky items
such as old furniture, about 3 tons of leaves & brush and 3 tons of paper to be shredded on site. Over 4,000 pounds of electronic items were accepted for possible recycling, and 1,071 tires were brought in.
At the Ruskin site, persons donated about 2,400 pounds of gently used clothes and household items in good condition and working order for donation to area Disabled American Veterans
Red Racks Thrift Stores.
The clean up was conducted by the City Public Works Department and community partners and was sponsored by Councilmembers Andrea Bough and Mayor Pro Tem Kevin McManus,
