Princess Elsa is at the Winterland Workshop at Wonderscope Childrens Museum on Saturday.

Saturday’s Winterland Workshop at Wonderscope supports south KC families in need

The event is free and open to the public with a suggested donation to support the Community Assistance Council, which helps neighbors dealing with homelessness and hunger to move from crisis to stabilization.

A free Winterland Workshop is taking place Saturday, December 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  at Wonderscope Children’s Museum at the Red Bridge Shopping Center. The fun-filled family event supports South Kansas City families in need with donations to Community Assistance Council.

Children can transport to Santa’s workshop at the one-day pop-up ‘Winterland Workshop’ experience hosted inside the event space at The Regnier Family Wonderscope Children’s Museum of Kansas City in Red Bridge Shopping Center at Red Bridge and Holmes Road. This year, the shopping center is focusing on giving back directly to the south Kansas City community with a donation drive collecting non-perishable items, winter clothing, and more for the Community Assistance Council.
Photo opportunities are aplenty at the Winterland Workshop.

The one-day Winterland Workshop experience will include festive experiences including cookie decorating, letter writing to Santa, sweet treats, photo opportunities, and fun for all. Special visitors include Princess Elsa from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Santa from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public with a suggested donation to support the Community Assistance Council, which helps neighbors dealing with homelessness and hunger to move from crisis to stabilization. Suggested donations include new or gently used warm winter clothing, holiday baking ingredients, non-perishable food items, and personal hygiene products. Event attendance does not grant free admission into Wonderscope’s exhibits. However, with a donation to the Community Assistance Council, you will receive 10% off Wonderscope admission for the day on December 10, 2022.
