AesthetiCare Med Spa, one of the largest med spas in the country, will be relocating its Leawood operation to south Kansas City. The locally owned and operated company will move to an office building at 9225 Ward Parkway (across from Burns and McDonnell) in April after a renovation of the space.
“We are so excited to show you what we are bringing to Kansas City,” announced owner Matt Taranto in a video released January 30. “This will be one of the largest aesthetic centers in the United States with the most advanced technology.”
AesthetiCare Med Spa offers more than 40 FDA-approved, non-surgical treatment options from licensed aestheticians and registered nurses who receive ongoing training to keep their skills current. Treatments include skin and body rejuvenation services, including Botox injections, dermal fillers, medical grade facials, laser treatments, and fat reduction procedures.

The move to its new 20,000-square-foot location will accommodate several complementary businesses under one roof, including AesthetiCare Med Spa, Mint Aesthetics, and AC Wellness, says Karen Cobb, Director of Marketing.
The company opened in 2001 in a 1000 square foot space in Shawnee Mission. It moved to its current location off College Boulevard and Nall but grew out of its 11,000 square foot space, according to Taranto. Recently AesthetiCare opened a second location in Liberty, Mo.
Taranto partnered with his wife, Kathy, to create Mint Aesthetics in 2005. Mint Aesthetics provides clinical training on behalf of various manufacturers to more than 2,000 aesthetics clinics nationwide.
AC Wellness, which will also be housed at the location, is headed by Dr. Amy Carter of Kansas City Wellness Center. Dr. Carter is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist providing healthy aging and aesthetic care. She and her team of nurses will offer wellness services including hormone therapy, weight management, IV therapy, and sexual health procedures.
AesthetiCare Med Spa’s Leawood office will be closed the last weekend in March while the company transitions to the Ward Parkway location in early April. For more information, go to greatskinkc.com.
