On Saturday, February 25th, Grandview Hickman Mills Elks Lodge hosted a luncheon honoring Elks State President Steve Green and his wife Donna who were given a Proclamation from Grandview Mayor Leonard Jones welcoming them to the city.
“From the City of Grandview, we appreciate what you are doing and what you stand for,” said Jones, referring to the organization’s commitment to youth and veterans programs.
The Greens, who are from Jefferson City Elk Lodge #513, are making the rounds visiting all 74 Elks lodges in the state. Steve has chosen the Elks scholarship program Leap Into Elkdom his motto as president.
The Grandview Hickman Mills Elks Lodge #2088 was founded in 1958. The lodge is located on the outskirts of Grandview at 13600 Arrington Rd.
The luncheon concluded with a special performance from Elvis impersonator Danny Johnson and a Newlywed game among married members.
