Homicide at Family Dollar parking lot

There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information provided to TIPS which leads to an arrest in the case.

On Tuesday, March 14, at 4:50pm officers were called to 104th and Blue Ridge on a shooting.  While officers were on their way, the location was updated to the Family Dollar parking lot at 10445 Blue Ridge.  Upon their arrival, officers located the victim, an adult male, lying in the parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. He has been identified as Nehemiah Clark, black male, age 65.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel responded to the scene.  They processed the scene to recover evidence and detectives spoke to witnesses.

KCPD is urging anyone who may have been shopping or in the area who left prior to police arriving, understandably so for your safety, please call detectives with any information you may have.  Even if what you observed or heard seems insignificant to you, it may be a key piece of information for investigators.  You can reach homicide detectives at 816-234-5043.
