Assessment Town Halls Hosted by Chairman DaRon McGee and Vice Chair Megan L. Marshall
Chairman DaRon McGee and Vice Chair Megan L. Marshall will be hosting three town halls throughout Jackson County. The Legislature has been overwhelmed with emails, calls, and direct public testimony regarding the 2023 Assessment Process – the town halls are intended to further provide Jackson County residents with the tools and resources that they need to navigate the assessment process. Representatives from the Board of Equalization and the Assessment Department will also be a part of the town halls and will be able to answer additional questions about the appeals process.
“It’s important to myself, Vice Chair Marshall, and the rest of my colleagues that we quickly mobilize to provide all relevant information to the residents of Jackson County. Our last meeting showed quite clearly that the assessment process has created a significant amount of pain and worry for our residents. These town halls—occurring all across the county—are intended to answer questions and to provide our residents with the information that they need to make the best decisions possible as they navigate the assessment process,” said Jackson County Legislature Chairman DaRon McGee. “The Legislature is committed to being there for the people of Jackson County.”
