Two talented area musicians on the brink of making it big will perform at the Grandview Amphitheater on Friday, September 22, for the city’s first Country Music Night.
Mounce grew up in small-town Pleasant Hill, MO. Originally setting out to become a career firefighter, he found a love for guitar and songwriting along the way. This path took him to Nashville, TN, where he is working simultaneously as a professional singer-songwriter and career firefighter. Since arriving in Nashville, Mounce has immersed himself in the Music City songwriter scene, collaborating with multiple talented artists and songwriters. He has released his first album “Folks Like You and Me.”
Kyle Austin grew up in Lakin, KS before moving to Lawrence as a teen-ager. He has spent the last two years creating original music and performing in Nashville, TN, where he met up with Mounce.
Gates will open at 6pm. Austin will perform from 7 to 8:15 pm. Hunter Thomas Mounce will take the stage at 8:30pm and play until 10:00pm.
Bringing a blanket or chair is encouraged.
The Grandview performance was cancelled in July due to weather.
