Midwest Recovery Centers is opening a State Line campus that provides residential treatment for those suffering from mental health disorders. The 7600 sq. ft. facility is located at 13013 State Line Rd. in the former Evans Interiors building near Blue Ridge Blvd. An open house is planned for November 17th. The facility opens in December.
Medical Director Shay McNeal who oversees the project, says the long-term mental health facility will offer a full suite of medical therapies to those experiencing acute forms of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, etc.

“Currently patients go to a hospital because they are suicidal, homicidal, or acutely psychotic,” she says. “They are there for three to five days, stabilized, put on meds and sent back into the stressful environment that probably sent them to the hospital in the first place. We’re bridging the gap so that we don’t have this churn and cycle of people going back into the hospital.”
Patients are expected to stay on site throughout the 45-day treatment program.
The 16-bed facility will incorporate some promising mental health treatments, including DNA testing, or pharmacogenomics, which helps prescribe the most compatible medication for the patient and transcranial magnetic stimulation, TMS, which stimulates nerve cells that control mood. Other programs include eight hours of group therapy daily, individual counseling, an exercise therapist and a registered dietician.
The busy street location will be privatized with a fenced-in environment and secured with 24-hour camera surveillance and a magnetic badge access for the locked facility.
Patients can enjoy green space at an outdoor patio and pergola or upstairs deck. After three weeks, they can participate in outings including visits with family.
This location is the third facility for the award-winning Midwest Recovery Centers headquartered in Martin City. The other two, located along Holmes Road, are designed to treat substance addiction. Like those treatment programs, the State Line mental health center is private pay.
The 16-bed facility’s approach, offering a full suite of medical therapies for acute mental health issues like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, is a much-needed resource. https://rudoymedicalpsychiatry.com/diseases/ As an ordinary reader, it’s heartening to see such dedicated facilities opening up. Mental health often requires more than just short-term hospital stays, and this facility seems to offer a more sustainable and supportive environment for recovery.
