Scholar Smarts is hosting a Financial Aid Clinic for families of high school seniors on Saturday, February 10, at United Believers Church, 5600 E. 112 Terr.
The free event is set to equip students with essential fundamentals and the latest FAFSA changes from professionals of the fields. The Dollars for Scholars event will provide valuable guidance, technical assistance, and resources to overcome some of the financial aid obstacles.
“This free event in south Kansas City will provide high school seniors with valuable information to prepare them for their next chapter”, says Mayor Pro Tem and 5th District City Councilwoman Ryana Parks Shaw.
To ensure the success of this workshop, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Students must be High School Seniors and residents of Metro Kansas City. The adult contributor should attend. Identification source and Social Security information will be needed. This will aid with online requirements and assistance.
- Participants should bring tablets or devices to process online financial aid data and clinic registrations.
