South KC Perspective
By John Sharp
Approximately $7,500 was raised for the Cover to Cover summer reading program to help prevent a summer decline in reading skills and promote a lifelong love of reading at the Grandview Education Foundation’s distinguished alumni brunch April 20 at the Armacost Car Museum.
This summer the project is expected to impact more than 1,700 students in the Grandview C-4 School District who will each receive 5 to 10 books of their choice from a selection of over 14,500 books.
Volunteers willing to help deliver the books during the next two weeks are asked to email GEF Executive Director Geoff Gerling at Director@grandviewedfoundation.com.
