There are no shortage of holiday events this season. In addition to our handy calendar, there are two new parties you should know about.
Senior Citizens Christmas Day Dinner
If you are a senior citizen? Will you be alone on Christmas Day?
Then consider this….
At approximately noon on Christmas Day, a free Christmas dinner will be served or delivered to you at three different locations in the metro area. In south Kansas City, that location is St. Peters Elementary School, 6400 Charlotte. The other two locations are Solid Rock Bible Church, 2501 NE 39th St., in north Kansas City and Christ United Methodist Church, 14506 E 39 St., in Independence.
The free dinner is courtesy Richard D. White, a retired Kansas City, MO, Police Officer. White has been providing free Christmas dinners for the past 47 years. This year, he and numerous volunteers are expected to feed over 800 people at the three locations with a smoked turkey dinner.
Over 100 prizes will be raffled off to winners.
Reservations are needed by December 20th. Call or text 816-572-7646 or visit kcmoseniorcitizendinner.com.
