Single-family homeowners in KCMO who meet U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development income guidelines may apply for a variety of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and roofing home repair services, now through June 3, 2025.
The repair program covers one of the repair services listed above for homeowners who have not received home repair services from the city in the last five years. A targeted home repair program covers up to two types of repairs and includes the Marlborough and Ruskin areas in south Kansas City.
The city’s paint program provides free paint and supplies to homeowners and does not include income limitations.
The program does not include duplexes, mobile homes, multi-family dwellings or rental property.
Applications are paperless and can be found online at kcmo.org/housing.
In-person application assistance will be available at the Westport-Roanoke Community Center, 3601 Roanoke Ave, on May 7-8 from 9 am to noon; 1 pm to 4 pm, then again at the Mary Williams Neal Community Center, 3801 Emanuel Cleaver Blvd., from May 12-15; 9 am to noon; 1 pm to 4 pm. Applications close June 3 at 4 pm.
