Last night around 7:20pm officers were initially called to 92nd and James A Reed Rd on an injury accident.
While officers were still on the way the call was updated to a shooting call with a victim at 92nd street.
Initial responding officers located an adult male shooting victim outside of a vehicle just north of 92nd street
Additional responding officers were notified of an additional vehicle that had crashed at 93rd and James A. Reed Rd. Additional officers responded to that location and found a vehicle that had crashed there with one adult male shooting victim inside there.
EMS responded to both locations and declared both victims deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives canvassed the area looking for any potential witnesses to determine the sequence of events that led to the shooting. Additionally crime scene investigators processed the scene for evidence to hopefully give detectives a better idea of what led up to the shooting.
If anyone was in this area around that time and heard or saw anything or has any information they are asked to contact Homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.
