The dog days of summer are here and golfers in south Kansas City can beat the heat by hitting the virtual greens at All Seasons Golf Club.
The new indoor climate-controlled facility is located off 103rd and State Line Road, open seven days a week. All Seasons Golf Club offers five bays powered by Uneekor overhead technology that tracks ball flight and club data along with instant visuals. Each bay is also equipped with launch monitors to provide data points and 4K Image Quality plus software, and gives the golfer the option to tee off on over 1,000 different courses worldwide including any course in Kansas City.
After spending time at other indoor golf establishments, co-owner Bryan Moore was inspired to help kick start All-Seasons Golf Club. He shared what sets it apart from others.
“I saw how their business models were more focused on a gym-like environment or established primarily as a golf academy,” Moore said. “I wanted to have a look and feel that is more reminiscent of what makes golf fun.”
The club is currently in the process of obtaining its liquor license, giving customers the option of stocking up a mini fridge with up to 120 drinks at each bay.
“We are currently in application phases for what Kansas City calls a carry-on liquor license. Missouri has a well understood BYOB application and license as well,” he said.
“Obviously when we get [the license] we encourage those who like a little more of a social feel to come by.”
During these times of high inflation, Moore says he is eager to help grow the membership base by offering a more cost-efficient way for people to play golf.
“Not every person can afford to become a member at a genuine country club in Kansas City,” he said.
“I would love to do things that are a bit more reminiscent of a traditional golf club membership,” he said. “Such as installing private communication channels and conducting internal surveys with members to find charity [tournaments] that we feel strongly about.
He hopes someday to host charity golf tournaments, in which All Seasons would provide the event planning.
“So, there are other ways that we can do a little bit of community outreach while also sharing our interest and love for the game of golf too,” he said.
He noted that All Seasons Golf Club also has intentions of providing a practice facility for local high school golf teams.
“We have a goal of becoming entangled with the local high schools that are near us,” Moore said. He “We can also provide this as a practice facility for those boys and girls programs when weather won’t allow them to be outdoors for their practice settings.”
Moore added that he anticipates the later Fall into the early Spring to be the busiest seasons during the first year of business, “when people are getting the itch to get ready for golf season,” he said. “I think this is obviously a great option for those players.”
Moore, who is from Lone Jack, swung his first golf club in an indoor facility before hitting the green. He added that it has helped him grow as a golfer and believes it can for others too.
“Anecdotally, I have been a member at three different types of these establishments where I kind of picked up a golf club for the first time in a controlled indoor environment hitting on very similar technology,” Moore said. “I kind of liked the growth that it gave me and my ability to golf because I started to really recognize some of the data and what to utilize to critique myself or know where I have a screw loose in my swing. To me I found a lot more value in hitting into a piece of technology, versus blindly using a mat and any given range where I don’t understand what it is that I’m working on and it gave me a little bit more of a purpose.”
