Leawood residents are invited to participate in the Citywide Recirculation Day on September 20.
This community-driven event is a chance to give unwanted items new life by placing them at the end of the driveway for others to pick up and reuse. Homeowners may set out unwanted items beginning at 7 am.
Public Works hosted the first Recirculation Day in 2009, which is now under the sustainability efforts of Parks & Recreation. This event occurs on the third Saturday in September.
Items not picked up must be removed from the driveway by Monday morning. Note that no city trucks will pick up remaining items.
