The Center School District Board of Education has announced that Dr. Troy Hogg has been named Superintendent of the Center 58 School District. His appointment was confirmed at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, January 26 and is effective immediately.
Hogg has served as the Interim Superintendent for Center 58 since April 2025.
“I’m truly honored to continue serving Center 58 as superintendent. This is a district filled with exceptional educators, talented students, and a community that believes in dreaming big and striving for excellence. I’m grateful for the Board’s trust and proud to continue building on our momentum as we move Center 58 forward, student-first and Center Proud,” said Hogg.
Dr. Hogg has led several major initiatives focused on creating a strong and sustainable future for Center students. These include launching the district’s 2026–2030 FLIGHT 58 Strategic Planning process and guiding the development of a bond issue and tax levy transfer that will appear on the April ballot.
During the superintendent search process, stakeholder feedback emphasized sized the importance of a leader who supports and retains staff and is approachable, accessible, and welcoming.
With over 30 years of experience in public education, Dr. Hogg has served as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent in diverse settings ranging from rural to suburban districts, including international experience in Japan as part of the JET Programme.
Dr. Hogg and his wife, Sanae, have a home in Jefferson City and are the parents of two sons, Takashi (23) and Taichi (21). They will be relocating their family home to the Center School District boundaries.
This appointment concludes a four-month formal superintendent search process conducted in partnership with the Missouri School Boards’ Association.
