The Goppert Performing Arts Center is located at 73-109 E. 118th St. Parking is available. \nThe original play premiered in 1936 and won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama\, then in 1938 was adapted into a film directed by Frank Capra. \nFirst Act Theatre Arts formed in 2000 as a Christian youth theater school. The organization is based in Overland Park with performances around the metropolitan area.
