
The freight car that carried the furniture was scheduled to arrive a day after Labor Day, September 6, according to Sloan. But she soon found out that the freight car was lost. “No one knew where it was,” she recalls. Finally, it was discovered that the freight car had been unhitched because the train was too long. The container finally arrived Wednesday, September 7.
Sloan opened the cottage to customers on Saturday, September 17. She reports the teak bowls and French cutting boards sold immediately and the cutting boards are now out of stock.
