The League of Women Voters of Kansas City/Jackson-Clay-Platte Counties (LWVKC) will host candidate forums in March as a voter education service in preparation for the April 2 general elections. All candidates have been invited to participate. These virtual forums will be live-streamed and recorded for later viewing. The public may submit questions for candidates at tinyurl.com/LWVKCForumQuestions.
The candidate forums are free and open to the public. To join the Zoom or watch the recording, visit lwvkc.org.
Candidate forums will start at 6:30 p.m. Following is a list of the forum dates and elections the candidates are running in:
- Wednesday, March 13, Hickman Mills School Board, Co-Sponsor South Kansas City Alliance (SKCA)
- Thursday, March 14, Center School Board, Co-Sponsor South Kansas City Alliance (SKCA)
- Tuesday, March 19, Independence School Board
- Wednesday, March 20, North Kansas City School Board
- Thursday, March 21, Lee’s Summit School Board
- Tuesday, March 26, Independence City Council
