Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue in Martin City

From October 14th through October 27th, Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue will commemorate 50 years of barbecue by offering special experiences including an anniversary menu.

Russ Fiorella started Smoke Stack Barbecue in 1957, offering traditional storefront barbecue with a limited menu. Russ’ son Jack worked with his father until 1974, when he branched off to start Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue of Martin City. Today, Jack Stack is in its fourth generation of family-ownership, with six locations in Kansas City, plus catering and nationwide shipping.

Limited-edition nostalgic menu items include the Poor Russ (chopped beef, pork and sausage burnt ends), the painted chicken kabob and the Sampler for Two (chicken, beef, pork plus three sides). During this month guests can purchase limited edition 50th anniversary t-shirts and pint glasses.

“What began as my grandparent’s dream to create a distinctive barbecue experience has become a cherished Kansas City tradition,” said Taylor Dorman, Vice President of Operations. “Fifty years later, we’re honored to celebrate this milestone with our loyal guests and teammates who have been a part of our journey every step of the way.”
