Leaf & Brush Collection For South Kansas City
By John Sharp
Kansas City’s 2nd fall/winter curbside leaf and brush collection for persons who live south of 63rd Street will run from November 28 through December 2 on persons’ regular trash day.
Residents may set out up to 20 paper yard waste bags and/or bundles of branches by 7 a.m. on their trash day. If they are not picked up that day, residents must report this to the 3-1-1 Action Center within 24 hours.
Bags may be sealed by masking tape, not plastic or duct tape, and no grass clippings or trash are allowed. Bundles of branches (no more than three inches in diameter) cannot be more than four feet long, nor more than two feet in diameter. They must be tied with twine or rope, not plastic tape or wire.
