Shrove Tuesday at St. Peter & All Saints
How confusing is it that Valentine’s Day falls on Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent? Do you fast or do you indulge Valentine candy?
Maybe get your sweets fix at Shrove Tuesday, a sister to Mardi Gras, held the day before Ash Wednesday. Shrove Tuesday is an Episcopalian tradition to eat pancakes dripping in sweet syrup the night before Ash Wednesday. St. Peter and All Saints will have stacks of them with bacon and other breakfast sides.
The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. The proceeds go to feed the hungry.
St. Peter and All Saints is located at 100 E. Red Bridge Rd. The event is from 5 to 7:30 pm.
