Cacao Modern Mexican Restaurante is now open at Watts Mill Plaza on 103rd Street. The restaurant is in the former Applebee’s on the other side of the same shopping strip where owner Victor Esquada used to run Guadalajare Cafe.

Also open is CBD American Shaman, a new hemp products store.

In the same strip Cafe Ha Tien is closing. The restaurant, which specializes in Vietnamese food, has set Sunday, July 29 as its last day of business. Owner Tho Van Tran says he could not reach an agreement on his lease with the Brixmor Property Group. Tran lives in the Red Bridge neighborhood and is looking for a nearby location in Missouri, but says he has run into problems with non-compete contracts at the Red Bridge Shopping Center and across the street at Watts Mill Village Shopping Center.
