The First District encompasses Kansas City north of Barry Road.

The Second District encompasses portions of the city that are north of the Missouri River and south of Barry Road.

The Third District is bordered by Troost Avenue to the west and by the limits of Independence to the east.

The Fourth District encompasses the city’s center, nearly encircling the small town of North Kansas City as it loops south from Westport, east to I-435 and over into the Historic Northeast neighborhood.

Kansas City’s new council map means Hickman Mills and Ruskin areas will now be voting as part of the 5th district.

An “At-large” districts means voters throughout the city vote for the position though the candidates are from the 6th District.
