Have an opinion about the future of the sports stadiums? Tuesday Town Hall meeting is for you

Jackson County Legislature Budget Committee Chair Manuel Abarca IV is hosting a town hall meeting to discuss the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals possible future plans and to hear members of the public express their thoughts on these important issues at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, at Fowling Warehouse KC, 1020 W. 103rd St.

Abarca said he felt it was important for him to hear directly from constituents in his legislative district on these issues.

“It is crucial to allow this space for the community to express their opinions and thoughts surrounding this important topic. It is imperative for me as an elected official to make myself available for questions and to hear directly from constituents,” said Legislator Abarca.

A variety of questions and topics regarding the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs will be discussed due to the absence of a nondisclosure agreement between the teams and Jackson County. However, all topics previously discussed in closed sessions will not be addressed or discussed in accordance with Jackson County Code.

Persons may contact his legislative aide Rebeca Amezcua-Hogan at Ramezcua-hogan@jacksongov.org for more information or to register as requested.
