KCMO residents get opportunity to solve their problems with the city tonight

Representatives of city departments and programs, social service agencies and public utility companies can assist residents in solving problems at a community meeting Monday evening.

KCMO residents are invited to meet with representatives of city departments and programs, social service agencies and public utility companies who can assist them in solving problems at a community meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 5, at Southeast Community Center, 4201 E. 63rd St.

Hosted by 5th District Councilmembers Darrell Curls and Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw, the problem solving meeting will include representatives from the City Housing, Neighborhood Services, Parks & Recreation, Planning, Police, Public Works & Water Departments, as well as representatives from the Minor Home Repair & Healthy Homes Programs & the 311 Action Center.

Service organizations represented will include KC Common Good, the South Kansas City Alliance Codes Advocate program that seeks to get prompt voluntary compliance to correct property maintenance & nuisance violations & the UMKC Center for Neighborhoods.

Utilities represented will include Evergy & Spire.
