South Kansas City Rotary President Randy Mize presented a check to Sydney Anderson, Aquatics Coordinator at The View Community Center.

Rotary makes a splash with swim-a-thon donation

 The donation will assist efforts in reducing drowning deaths by increasing water safety education and swimming lessons regardless of economic status.

The South Kansas City Rotary Club #6040 donated $650 to Grandview Park and Recreation’s swim-a-thon fundraiser to be held February 23 and 24 at The View Community Center, 13600 Byars Rd.

Rotary President Randy Mize, an avid swimmer, presented the check to Sydney Anderson,  Grandview Parks and Recreation Aquatics Coordinator  during a January 19 meeting at RC’s Restaurant in Martin City.

 The donation will assist efforts in reducing drowning deaths by increasing water safety education and swimming lessons for all children, regardless of economic status.
