Numerous homes that were purchased to make way for a townhome development along Holmes Road now sit as an eyesore in the Red Bridge community.

Boarded houses on 115th & Holmes to be discussed at Center Planning & Development meeting

Susan Cronander, Long Range Planner for the city, will answer questions regarding the 115th & Holmes area and the northwest corner  of Wornall Road and Blue Ridge Boulevard.

The February date  for the Center Planning and Development Council meeting was erroneously published as February 17 in the latest issue of the Telegraph. The meeting, which updates residents of neighborhoods and homes associations, will actually be held on Tuesday, February 27, starting at 7 pm at the Trailside Center, 9901 Holmes Rd.

The agenda includes:

  1. Mary McCall,  South Patrol Officer, will give our Crime Report.

  2. Dave Claflin, Marketing Director for the Ward Parkway Shopping Center will give an update on the latest shopping areas in the Center.

  1. Darrell Curls, 5th District-At-Large Councilperson will speak on his position at City Hall and his areas of concern such as the moratorium on gas stations.  He was asked to mention the final version of the Source of Income Ordinance that passed the City Council.

  1. Susan Cronander, KCMO City Long Range Planner, will answer questions re the 115th & Holmes area, and what is happening on the northwest corner  of Wornall Road and Blue Ridge Boulevard.  Residents have noticed that buildings are being demolished at that site.
