The 38th Brookside Art Annual kicks off Kansas City’s list of outdoor art shows with more than 170 artists on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 3-5. Display tents will line the tennis courts located between Meyer Boulevard and 63rd Street along Brookside Boulevard. A children’s activities tent rounds out the festive experience along with strolls among Brookside’s restaurants and shops.
This year’s featured artist is Ben Pribyl from McHenry, Illinois. Pribyl has been creating original wood sculptures for nearly 30 years. His love for old advertising, vintage toys, and humorous pop culture has inspired his work that is both nostalgic and contemporary. This is Pribyl’s ninth year showing in Brookside.
His work is also featured on the 2024 commemorative posters, shirts and cards which are available to purchase at the merchandise booth.
Hours for the Brookside Art Annual are Friday, 5-9 pm, Saturday, 10 am – 9 pm, and Sunday, 11 am – 5 pm. For more information visit brooksideartannual.com.
