This summer the project is expected to impact more than 1,700 students in the Grandview C-4 School District.

The 5th District is having its spring cleanup from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 18, with four drop-off sites open to all city residents including one at Ruskin High School and 85th and The Paseo.

A total of 1,165 tires, with and without rims, were collected, and on-site shredding also was provided.
